La música del azar: "Into my arms ", Nick Cave

Into my arms es una hermosa canción con la que se inicia The Boatman's Call, un disco de Nick Cave fechado en 1997, una grabación desnuda y minimalista con la que el cantante australiano incidía en la línea del excelente Murder Ballads (1996) y se apartaba de las aristas que hasta entonces habían dominado en sus discos con los Bad Seeds.

La recia voz de Nick Cave luce serena y madura en esta canción de temática mística que mezcla religión y sentimiento amoroso, una sencilla tonada que transpira emoción, con Cave al piano y el único apoyo de un Bad Seed, Martyn P. Casey al bajo. Ritmos lentos, introspectivos, para esta narcótica letanía que llega hasta el fondo del alma con un mínimo de recursos. Pura nobleza sentimental.
